EveryDollar: Personal Budget App Reviews

Currently attending FPU- Financial Peace University and this app transitions perfectly into Daves plan for budgeting money. Love the ease and simplicity of the app doing all the calculations and allowing for ease of budget review and input of transactions. The tech support group is very responsive and posts how to notes in the help section. Updates for small tweaks would continue to improve functionality.

On my phone, the new update made the budget month disappear. You can still tap the top center and get the drop down menu but thats annoying. Using the back button is difficult because you cant tap ON the arrow, you have to tap NEAR the arrow. Also, I cant alternate between seeing what I planned for each category and what Ive actually spent.

Overall, I love this app and think its really excellent. But the two features I really wish it had are: 1) The ability to compare month-over-month spending by category without needing to toggle back & forth endlessly), and 2) A "reconciliation" function so I can check off expenses when I see them come through on my credit card bill. (Yes, I know Dave Ramsey says no credit cards, but Ive never been in debt and like them for the benefits). Both of these problems could be easily solved with a button that would allow me to export to excel!!

Ive been a loyal user of the app for a while now and was enjoying many of the features. Then, after the most recent update, it appears that Ive lost some of the features that I enjoy the most. The main feature lacking is the ability to link to your bank account - which was one of the biggest benefits to using this app over others. It looks as if this is now a "Plus Feature", but after a while of searching - I cant figure out how to get this feature back to save my life. I had been recommending this app to all of my friends, but will no longer continue to do so and probably end my usage of the app as well. Unfortunate update for EveryDollar.

We took the Dave Ramsey class in 2007. Paid off the debt. No more car payments. But the families monthly budget sheet was on paper and I didnt want to take it out of the binder or lose it. Watching Chris Hogans video "Its Not Okay" scared me back into Daves gazelle mode to save more for our retirement. So I started looking for apps to help with the monthly budget. Found YNAB, that was way too complicated and cost money. I deleted it & found Daves app. Didnt even know this app existed. Thank GOD I found EveryDollar. EveryDollar is a GAME Changer..! Easy, to the point, free with basic budget features and doesnt require an accounting degree to understand. Couples can share this to work together on the budget. Put your paychecks in, label what you need to pay and thats it. You can see what your spending and overspending on. You can set up account categories to save for each month. Your determination will get the debt paid down no matter what, but this app puts you in turbo-mode. I have told all my family, friends and co-workers, they love it. You can see what youre spending each month on eating out, coffee, groceries, car payments, tools etc. Its free. The learning curve is 1 day. After one day you got it. This isnt a game app, its a reality app. Download this app and empower your future. Stay Blessed.

The app is okay- though limited compared to the pc version as far as being able to edit, view goals, etc. I paid for the enhanced version but after sending 3 requests I still have not received support to get my transactions automatically downloaded. Was working then stopped when I turned off auto renewal. $99 is a lot and really does not add much more functionality than the free app. I would expect more from a Dave endorsed product.

App wont sync bank transactions anymore with Plus account. Please fix. Thank you!

This app gives me the ability to keep up with my money way more efficiently than any other method I have tried. I typically had trouble sticking to budgets because I would have to keep up with it in the notes of my phone or on paper (inconvenient). I always have my phone on me, and I like the visual representation of how much money I have remaining in each category. Definitely recommend!

my husband and I love this app--it helps us stay on track with out budget in real time. the funds can be a little weird in the app compared with how they look on the website, but other than that, the app is awesome.

One improvement would be to add the ability to add and edit categories directly from the app.

I use the basic version. My wife and I do a budget committee meeting every month then use this to keep track as we go along. Its great for staying on track!

This app is fun. I really enjoy doing my future budgeting on my phone to see where I can increase or cut back. Please keep the green banner on top so when I scroll down I can quickly see and choose the Planned, Spent , Remaining columns.

Hey, this app works really good. I love being able to enter the purchases on my phone immediately after the transaction. I do wish that you would make an iPad version. The website it wanky and doesnt interface well with the iPad. I would love to be able to enter items on my phone and have it automatically update the iPad version and visa versa. Im slowing moving away from the Excel spreadsheets that I have used for years but until the iPad version is available I will continue doing double the work. And I agree with the other review - keep the green banner at the top as you scroll down so you can sweep the categories back and forth.

I loved this app when I first began budgeting, the only downfall was I couldnt account for all my transactions. If this app could connect to my bank accounts and credit card accounts etc, it would be the bees knees. Every dollar did help show me where to put my money though even though it didnt force me to see where my money went.

My husband and I have been using Everydollar for almost a year now and we are happy with it. Its so easy to use and we can update our budget right on our phone when were on the road. We use the free version and the only problem Ive had is that I cant get the savings amount to match whats in my savings account. Other than that its the best budgeting app Ive used. Easy and straightforward.

I enjoyed the simplicity of this app, especially during the free premium membership trial period but, I had to stop using it and revert back to my old software because I couldnt customize a date range. You have to go by traditional month vs. pay period to pay period and for me that just wasnt going to work.

I saw this in a YouTube video by ChristineKobzeff and I absolutely love it. Its so easy to use and looks very nice. Perfect for what Ive been needing!!
